Pomegranate Flavor

I do not get excited about pomegranates. I like them, but they are not special to me. My family has a few pomegranate trees, and I think they are messy and difficult to eat. They make great fall decorations, though. Pomegranates are Messy In the late 1970's, my siblings, the neighbor kids and I made an event out of eating pomegranates. Since my  mom didn't want to clean up a huge mess, she forbid us from eating them in the house. She told us to put on our old clothes and go outside when we wanted to "crack open" a pomegranate. We would smash them on a concrete slab, pick out the seeds (arils), gorge and eventually become annoyed by the slow process of eating a pomegranate. Fage Greek Yogurt Review

As a flavorist and food technologist, I have been extremely fortunate in my career. A large part of my work is tasting products. Evaluating Greek yogurts on the market has been a treat. Especially when it comes to Fage.  It is one of the more expensive yogurts on the market, sometimes listed at $1.89 and it is delicious. I recently tried two flavors (1) Strawberry with 2% milk fat and (2)Cherry Pomegranate with 0% milk fat. Fage yogurt is uniquely packaged, with two cups; one large cup for yogurt and one small cup for fruit. The serving suggestion is not to stir.  Therefore, I scooped out a little yogurt and dipped it in the fruit.
